Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how NetSnap ("NetSnap", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and otherwise processes information when you use the NetSnap mobile application, related support channels, and related services.

NetSnap is built so that the core recording experience works locally on your device. We do not require account registration to use the app's core features.

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to NetSnap's app and support interactions. It does not apply to third-party services you choose to use through the app, such as Google Play billing, your device sharing targets, or other apps and services that receive clips you choose to share.

Information We Collect

1. Information you provide directly

We may receive information you choose to send us, including when you contact us for support, feedback, reimbursement questions, or legal/privacy requests. This may include your name, email address, the contents of your message, and any files or screenshots you decide to share with us.

2. Camera, microphone, media, and nearby-device permissions

NetSnap requests access to features on your device so the app can work:

The app is designed so that clips and most related media stay on your device by default. In Multi-Angle mode, clips and limited transfer metadata are exchanged directly between the paired devices at your direction.

Although Android may require location-related permissions for nearby connectivity, NetSnap does not use those permissions to build advertising profiles and does not intentionally use them to determine your precise location for marketing purposes.

3. Media you create in the app

The videos, audio, and related metadata you create with NetSnap may contain personal information, depending on what you record. As part of normal app operation, NetSnap does not routinely upload that media to our servers. Instead:

We do not use your clips for advertising, profiling, or biometric identification as part of normal app operation.

4. Subscription and transaction information

If you purchase NetSnap Pro on a supported Android build, payments are processed by Google Play, not by NetSnap directly. We may receive subscription-related information needed to unlock and manage paid features, such as:

We do not receive your full payment card number.

5. Product analytics information

If you grant analytics consent, NetSnap may collect limited product and diagnostics analytics, including:

NetSnap is designed to avoid sending certain sensitive values in analytics payloads, including raw file paths, media URLs, purchase tokens, advertising identifiers, and similar identifiers.

If you decline analytics consent, analytics collection is disabled and queued analytics events are cleared from the app.

6. Information stored locally on your device

NetSnap stores certain information locally to operate the app, including:

7. Information we generally do not collect

NetSnap does not currently require you to create an account for normal use. We do not intentionally collect:

How We Use Information

We use information to:

Legal Bases for Processing

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction that requires a legal basis, we generally rely on the following:

If you are in Brazil, these bases are also intended to align with the LGPD bases most relevant to NetSnap's operations, including consent, contract, legitimate interest, and legal or regulatory obligation, as applicable.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

International Processing and Transfers

NetSnap and our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Our analytics infrastructure is currently configured in the United States.

If you are located in a jurisdiction with transfer restrictions, including the EEA, UK, Brazil, or Canada, we may rely on adequacy decisions, contractual safeguards, or other lawful transfer mechanisms where required.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required by law. In general:

Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, appeal, or withdrawal of consent.

You can also:

To make a privacy request, email support@netsnap.app with enough detail for us to understand and respond to your request. Because NetSnap does not require accounts and is designed to minimize collection, we may need additional information to verify your request and locate any records we can reasonably associate with you. In some cases, data exists only on your device, and we may not be able to access it for you.

If we deny a privacy request, you may reply and ask us to review the decision again.

Region-Specific Disclosures

EEA and UK

If you are in the EEA or UK, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. You may also have rights to object to certain processing, request erasure, request portability, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Brazil

If you are in Brazil, you may have rights under the LGPD, including confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, blocking or deletion in some circumstances, portability, information about sharing, and information about consent. You may also file a complaint with the ANPD.

United States

U.S. privacy rights vary by state and often depend on whether a business meets specific statutory thresholds. Where a U.S. state privacy law applies to NetSnap, residents of that state may have rights such as access, deletion, correction, appeal, and the right to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. NetSnap does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We also do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

If you are in Canada, you may request access to and correction of personal information we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent to certain processing, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Cross-border processing may occur, including in the United States. You may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the relevant provincial regulator where applicable.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

NetSnap is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided us personal information inappropriately, contact support@netsnap.app so we can review the situation.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this document and take other steps where required by law.
